Where do you pickup and drop off my stuff?

When is the best day to reserve my pickup or dropoff?
We offer complimentary moving days every Friday evening through Sunday night throughout the entire month of May. If these days don't fit your schedule, you can select an alternative time for a $99 fee.
When on the reserved day do you drop off?
We offer evening deliveries on Fridays from 5 PM to 8 PM, and morning (9 AM - 12 PM), afternoon (1 PM - 5 PM), and evening deliveries on Saturdays and Sundays. For moves outside of May or on weekdays, please reach out to us at [email protected]
I need to change my pickup or dropoff date. What should I do?
Please email us at [email protected] within 72 hours of your pickup date to avoid any cancellation fees!
What does my College Cart fit?
Our college carts can fit most of our customers' clothing and personal items. If you have furniture or need extra storage, we offer free moving boxes and a la carte pricing for larger items.
I don’t have enough materials to pack my items
After you reserve dyour storage, we will provide options for our free moving materials. Additional materials are available upon request at [email protected].
Common Mistakes
- Failing to Provide Quality Photos: Please provide clear photos of each box and cart before pickup to help us assist you effectively.
- Failure to Label Your Goods: We will supply you with labels and straightforward instructions when you reserve your order.
- Not Using Bubble Wrap: We recommend wrapping fragile items carefully. While we offer bubble wrap and packing paper, ensuring your items are secure is ultimately your responsibility.
- Not Sealing Your Boxes: Please ensure your boxes are well-taped and secure before loading them into your college cart for our team.
- Not Packing Your Items: To facilitate a smooth process, please pack and organize your items during your designated move-out time. This ensures our movers can efficiently and safely store your belongings for the summer.
- Having Additional Items Not Included in Original Quote: If you need additional storage beyond your college cart and provided moving materials, please contact us for our a la carte storage options.
Where are my items stored?
Your items are stored in a climate-controlled facility located near campus in Charlotte, NC.
Are my items insured with Boxed?
We provide complimentary insurance for your items while they are in our care, covering up to $399 per customer order. Please note that you are not allowed to store highly valued items (over $399), such as electronics, jewelry, money, or sentimental items, with us.
What is the $50 reservation fee for?
Your $50 reservation secures your storage, locks in your pickup date, and includes free boxes and moving materials. This fee is refundable if you cancel within 72 hours of your pickup date and have not received your free moving materials.
How do I pay for my storage?
Once your items are safely picked up and stored at our facility, you will receive an invoice for your first month of storage at $133 for our standard college cart. The cost may increase if you have large items or additional boxes. Each subsequent month, the same card will be billed for this amount until you request the delivery of your goods.
What is the minimum storage time frame?
The minimum time frame to store your items is 4 months (typical summer storage term). We do also offer timing for students who plan on studying abroad, for that semester and through the summer! However, we can safely and securely store your items for any amount of time. Whether its 4 months, 6 months or two years - Boxed has you covered. Please note that you will not have ‘drop in’ or ‘mid-term’ access to your items, as any receival will declare the end of your storage term which may incur fees.
